Even if you take good care of your teeth, there are lots of problems that can affect your smile. Worse, they can happen just about any time. From biting down on a bone in a drumstick to missing a football thrown to you, damaging events can happen even during holiday gatherings. The good news is, our team can repair smile damage with restorative treatments.
From toothaches to cracked teeth to a broken crown, just give us a call at one of our two Naples, FL locations: Health Park Boulevard 239-429-0258 or Executive Drive 239-977-9120. If you’re in pain, we’ll try to get you in as soon as we can – often on the same day. In the meantime, see some of the ways we can fix your dental damage:
- Mend a Cavity – Cavities can cause difficulty chewing and other discomfort. Left untreated, decay can get inside your tooth and cause an infection. That’s why it’s best to catch and treat cavities in the earliest stages. This is just one of the reasons we recommend regular dental exams (two times a year). We’ll remove decay if we find any and repair your tooth with a tooth-colored composite filling. Unlike metal fillings, it won’t ever be visible in your smile.
- Fix a Cracked or Broken Tooth – Depending on the extent of your damage, its location, and other factors, we have several ways to fix cracks or breaks. Small chips or cracks can often be repaired with a bonding treatment or dental veneer. For more serious situations, we’ll cover your tooth with a durable dental crown. It will restore your full oral function and protect your tooth from further damage.
- Eliminate Infection – One good reason to fix cavities or issues like cracks or breaks ASAP is to keep bacteria from getting inside your tooth. If it does, it can cause an infection that may be quite painful and can threaten your tooth. Our dentists can perform a root canal to eliminate the infection, disinfect the interior of your tooth, and seal it with a crown. We can offer dental sedation to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
- Remove Problem Teeth – Some teeth are simply too damaged to be saved. If that’s the case, we can gently remove the problematic tooth. Again, sedation is available to keep you comfortable. Our dentists can even remove wisdom teeth, if necessary.
- Replace Missing Teeth – If you do have missing teeth, we have several options for replacing them. The gold standard is dental implants. With implants, your teeth will feel and function almost exactly like they did before. They can be used to replace any number of teeth, from a single one to an entire mouthful. If implants aren’t for you, you can choose a conventional dental bridge or dentures instead.
